After succeeding in stopping the order of the Land confiscation in the village of Twaneh, Taghyeer and Youth of Sumoud Forum worked on the renovation of two caves in the village of Saroora. The two caves were restored and were ready to use. Especially, the Israeli Civil Adminsitration prohibits Palestinians of the area to build proper houses, which is why many families live in caves.
They also worked on the lands surrounding these caves and brought everything needed for agriculture to make it a residential area.
One of these caves became home for a family and the other cave became a center for Youth of Sumoud’s members to meet in.
The activities around Saroura caves serves as a live example of how Taghyeer works to preserve the steadfastness of the people on the land.
