Staff Training: English Language & Leadership Development
Nine of Taghyeer's Messengers of Change participated in a 10-week training conducted by our partners Jerusalem Peace Builders (JPB). The program has two main objectives:
1. Further development of leadership skills.
2. Further development of English language competency.
Thus, the participants did not only improve their English but they discussed topics such as identity, empathy and diversity, work on their listening skills, and learned about the importance of dialogue and non-verbal communication in peace-building. JPB employs a model of experimental learning through which participants learn through self-awareness and emotional engagement.
Due to the latest developments regarding COVID-19, this course took place online and helped our activists to stay connected.
